We are searching for a Legal (Corporate) Intern to join our Summer 2025 cohort. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience working in a global business setting. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students to work on meaningful projects that impact DP World's operations and legal compliance.
Important Considerations:
- On-site role
- Location: Auburn Hills, MI (DP World does not offer accommodations throughout internships)
- Strong performance could lead to a full-time position after graduation
- 10-week program that will run from June 2nd, 2025 to August 8th, 2025

AREAS OF FOCUS
- Assist in reviewing, drafting, and editing various legal documents, including contracts, NDAs, and corporate policies.
- Conduct legal research on regulatory requirements, case law, and relevant legal issues affecting the company’s operations.
- Support the legal team in managing corporate governance documents, such as board minutes, resolutions, and company filings.
- Help ensure the company’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Assist with due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other business transactions.
- Participate in internal legal department meetings and external meetings with stakeholders as needed.
- Work with the legal team to develop training materials on legal topics relevant to the company.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by the legal team.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Currently pursuing a degree in Law (JD or LLB) or related field from an accredited university.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive legal information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior internship or work experience in a legal environment.
- Knowledge of corporate law, contract law, or intellectual property law.
- Familiarity with legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
