We are searching for a Legal (Corporate) Intern to join our Summer 2025 cohort. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience working in a global business setting. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students to work on meaningful projects that impact DP World's operations and legal compliance.

Important Considerations:

On-site role
Location: Auburn Hills, MI (DP World does not offer accommodations throughout internships)
Strong performance could lead to a full-time position after graduation
10-week program that will run from June 2nd, 2025 to August 8th, 2025

AREAS OF FOCUS

Assist in reviewing, drafting, and editing various legal documents, including contracts, NDAs, and corporate policies.
Conduct legal research on regulatory requirements, case law, and relevant legal issues affecting the company’s operations.
Support the legal team in managing corporate governance documents, such as board minutes, resolutions, and company filings.
Help ensure the company’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Assist with due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other business transactions.
Participate in internal legal department meetings and external meetings with stakeholders as needed.
Work with the legal team to develop training materials on legal topics relevant to the company.
Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by the legal team.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Currently pursuing a degree in Law (JD or LLB) or related field from an accredited university.
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive legal information.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior internship or work experience in a legal environment.
Knowledge of corporate law, contract law, or intellectual property law.
Familiarity with legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
