The Minneapolis office is accepting application materials from 1L candidates for the 2025 Twin Cities Diversity in Practice (TCDIP) 1L Rotation Clerkship. Applicants are required to submit a complete application which includes a cover letter, resume, unofficial 1L transcript (or grade report) once available, and a brief writing sample in PDF format. Over the course of a summer, 1L Rotation Clerks gain valuable insights by working within a law firm and corporate law department setting. Students work alongside attorneys, develop relationships and sharpen their legal skills.
The expected compensation for this program is $8,000 semi-monthly. As part of the Clerkship, we will evaluate candidates for potential future employment, but without specific knowledge of 2026 2L Summer Associate hiring needs.

Exemplifying our commitment to promoting inclusion and equity across our platform, the firm participates in the Mansfield Rule Certification Program (Mansfield). Mansfield, which is facilitated by The Diversity Lab, focuses on equal opportunity, fairness, and inclusivity. The Mansfield requirements are anchored in the consideration of expanded talent pools considered for select positions and open roles within the law firm and the implementation of and access to transparent processes. Utilizing the Mansfield framework, the firm’s progress and outcomes are measured and documented through Mansfield Certification Plus Metrics. In 2023, GT achieved Mansfield 6.0 Certification Plus. We are excited about our ongoing participation in Mansfield given the program’s alignment with the firm’s commitment to opportunities for advancement that are inclusive for everyone.
