We are seeking a motivated law student to work on legal content and research projects within Practical Law. This internship will have a flexible schedule that adapts to the academic calendar. During the school year, you will work remotely 12-15 hours a week. In the summer, you will transition to a full-time schedule with a hybrid arrangement, spending one or two days in the office and the remainder of the week working remotely. The pay for this internship is $20/hour.
About The Role
In this opportunity as a Legal Intern, you will:
- Draft and edit content such as legal updates, in addition to analyzing and summarizing changes to primary law.
- Engage in quality assurance and review of content and linking while providing additional support to Practical Law teams.
- Interact with technology, including Practical Law’s publishing platform, tools, and site.
- Learn about alternative legal career paths from Practical Law’s team of highly experienced and credentialed staff of attorney editors.
- Benefit from a flexible schedule of 10 - 20 hours per week during school terms, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer and while on breaks.
About You
- You are a fit for the role of Legal Intern if you:
- Have completed the first or second year of an ABA-accredited law school (Required)
- Demonstrate strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Possess a high level of technical acumen.
- Interpret, analyze, organize, and express complex legal material quickly and accurately.
- Possess exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
- Can work independently, consistently meet deadlines, and achieve individual objectives within larger team projects.
