Role Description
This is a contract legal intern role at Varyst PLLC, which is a remote position. The Legal Intern will be involved in legal consulting, preparing legal documents, addressing legal issues, and effective communication with clients and team members in commercial and government contracts as well as the business of operating a legal practice.
Looking for self-starters who can take the initiative and are highly organized, passionate, and hard-working. Having a passion for government contract law is a plus.
This role is largely remote but may require some travel (3-4 times per month) to the firm's legal office in Tysons, VA.
Top 40 Law Schools Preferred but not Required
Qualifications
- Legal Research and Drafting Skills
- Legal Consulting and Legal Issues
- Legal Document Preparation
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting
- Attention to detail and critical thinking
- Enrollment in or completion of a law degree program
- Highly Organized
- Emphasis on Professionalism
- Experience with Law Review is a Plus
- Experience within Government is a Plus
- Experience within a Law Firm is a Plus
- Excellent Grades are a Plus
- Must be interested in working with Generative AI effectively
Time Requirement
This is a Part-time Internship and pay will be commensurate experience. Expected work may range from 10-20 hours per week.
