As the Firmwide Law School Relations (LSR) Assistant, you will provide support to the firmwide Law School Relations Team in all aspects of our summer associate and entry-level hiring strategy, including the summer associate hiring process, summer program planning and execution, building and maintaining relationships with law schools and student groups, diversity programming efforts, industry branding and social media efforts, and the entry-level onboarding process. While the LSR Assistant will support firmwide recruitment efforts, they will also support the DC office Legal Recruiting team with day-to-day tasks. This position is available in Goodwin’s Washington, DC office.
What You Will Do
- Assist the LSR Team with organizing on-campus events with law schools across the country, including soliciting event attendees, preparing and shipping materials for events, attending events (as needed), and compiling marketing materials;
- Support the LSR team with all aspects of the summer associate hiring process, including registering for On-Campus Interviews (OCI), coordinating logistics, and statistical reporting and metrics;
- Assist the DC Legal Recruiting Team with aspects of the summer associate hiring process, including interview preparation and execution, hiring committee meeting preparation, and interview scheduling (as needed);
- Contribute to firmwide summer program planning and implementation efforts, including summer associate onboarding, overall program structure planning, firmwide orientation, organization of events and presentations, and offboarding;
- Assist the DC Legal Recruiting Team with aspects of the Summer Program planning process, including logistics and event preparation and execution;
- Assist in carrying out Diversity Fellowship and pipeline programming, including overall program structure and execution;
- Assist with entry-level associate onboarding;
- Maintain applicant tracking system, including data entry, importing interview schedules, and conducting reporting for entry-level associate hiring;
- Conduct market research and analysis through advanced Excel functions and data modeling to support team objectives;
- Support LSR social media efforts, including LinkedIn and Instagram;
- Provide general administrative support to the LSR team, including processing recruiting expenses, scheduling meetings, and other administrative tasks as needed;
- Assist the DC Legal Recruiting Team with aspects of the lateral recruiting process, including data entry, interview scheduling (as needed), candidate file maintenance, expense reimbursement, and new hire processes; and
- Carry out additional projects as assigned by the Legal Recruiting team and Managing Director of Legal Recruiting.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of/experience with Applicant Tracking Systems preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Outstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Proactive and takes initiative to own projects.
- Highly collaborative and willing to work in teams.
- Commitment to maintain confidential information and a professional environment;
- Ability to attend events and flexible to work extended hours as needed.
