SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for gaining hands-on experience within a boutique law firm specializing in healthcare law; working under pressure and is a team player.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follows up on administrative appeals and documentation submitted to health insurers and governmental payers.
- Works well with attorneys and paralegals.
- Maintains workload.
- Updates and maintains records.
- Ensures compliance with procedures.
- Maintains professional growth and development.
- Is skilled, aggressive, cordial, and professional on the telephone to follow up on submitted appeals.
- Performs any other administrative duties as may be necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate or undergraduate degree.
- Other skills required:
- Student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
- Interest in healthcare and healthcare law preferred.
- Highly organized, aggressive, outgoing, and detail-oriented.
- Clear, concise, and logical writing style.
- Highly attentive to detail.
- Be able to handle large amounts of paperwork for a busy office.
- Must have excellent organizational skills.
