Law School Student Influencer Needed: Build a National Network for Baseball Safety Advocacy
Are you a law student passionate about advocacy and eager to make a meaningful difference in public safety? We're looking for driven law students to join Jordan Skopp's national campaign to protect fans, especially children, from the dangers of foul balls in professional ballparks and stadiums.
Meet Jordan Skopp: Advocate
Jordan Skopp has dedicated over five years to advocating for improved netting. His work is featured in outlets like ESPN, Forbes, LA Times, and Yahoo Sports.
The Role
We are hiring law students to help organize conference calls between Jordan and law students across the country. You'll be responsible for setting up these calls with other law school students, fostering discussions on legal strategies, and driving advocacy efforts. You'll also gain insight into ongoing legal challenges, such as a case filed by one of our affiliated lawyers on behalf of a fan injured at a Peoria Chiefs minor league game in Illinois.
Legal Context
If you've studied Torts and Sports Law, you're likely familiar with the Baseball Rule, which limits stadium owners’ liability for fan injuries caused by foul balls. By joining this campaign, you’ll have the chance to engage with and challenge these outdated legal frameworks, helping drive real change in sports safety.
Join Us
If you're passionate about advocacy and want to gain hands-on experience while building a national network of like-minded law students, we want to hear from you. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate, develop legal expertise, and contribute to a growing movement for fan safety.
