This law clerk position, full-time or part-time, is with a solo firm involved in
- commercial and residential real estate negotiations, sales, and purchases and tax treatment.
- partition of properties to liquidate interest acquired via a contingency award in an equal protection case
- recovery of attorney fees in probate where an equal protection appeal led to a settlement (Chavana, below)
- negotiating sales of non-real-estate assets, including oil and gas interests from the ReedU.S. case below
- tax issues of small business, investor, and real estate, including IRC 1033 treatment of capital gains (after eminent domain taking)
- advising attorneys who form or counsel small businesses
The job involves project management, research, writing, and settling partition and probate interests. The office is in West Campus near the Drag, and the work will largely be remote.
Required
- At least one semester of law school (paralegal classes or degree do not fulfill the requirement)
- Clear organized writing

Pay
Law clerk: $33 an hour or higher depending on experience, education, recognition, writing kudos
