JOB DESCRIPTION:
Intern will gain a hands-on experience in various aspects of the Legal Department and Employee Labor & Relations Department of a largest public hospital in New Jersey. Intern will assist Legal Department with legal research, will be involved in policy writing, as well as various committee meetings, observing the Legal Department’s oversight and advice to various departments. This experience will also introduce intern to the transactional side of the legal profession, through contract review and drafting, as well as negotiations. Moreover, the intern will also assist the Employee Labor & Relations Department with the employee/labor grievance and discipline processes, dispute resolutions, and will have an employee facing role in facilitating labor relations training programs.
An intern with a Pre-Law focus with a specific interest in Health Law and Employment Law is preferred, but not required.
