2025 SUMMER LEGAL ASSOCIATE
SUMMARY:
The Connecticut Green Bank (hereafter "Green Bank") is seeking a Summer Associate to join our Legal team for Summer 2025.
We are a quasi-public authority and the nation's first state-level "Green Bank," leveraging public funds to increase and accelerate private investment in the green economy of Connecticut. A Summer Legal Associate is a paid internship with the Green Bank and an exciting opportunity to gain valuable professional legal experience in a unique, innovative work environment in the rapidly growing clean energy and environmental infrastructure sectors. The Summer Associate will work collaboratively with the team on projects related to clean energy and environmental infrastructure and in the furtherance of the Green Bank's programs and operations, including on a variety of transactional and regulatory-related projects. We are looking for law students seeking to match their academic work with professional experience, and who have a strong interest in finance, banking law, clean energy, and environmental infrastructure.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
Current matriculation in a law degree program that is determined to be appropriate preparation for employment in the designated functional area. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, interpersonal, and administrative skills. We are not seeking current first year law students.
EMPLOYMENT DETAILS:
- This position reports directly to the Chief Legal Officer.
- It is expected that the position will be based in the Green Bank's Hartford or Stamford, CT offices, with opportunities for some remote work.
- Green Bank internships run between 10-12 weeks from May-September.
- This is a 40-hour per week opportunity and paid at $37 per hour.
