Please note: There is a current opening that will be filled by this recruitment. In addition, this recruitment will be used to create an eligibility list for future openings which will be used for four months for positions in the First Judicial District Court, Juvenile Court and the Carson City Justice/Municipal Court.
This is a full-time, FLSA non-exempt position with the Carson City Juvenile Court. Under general supervision, provides a variety of routine to difficult legal office support to the courts which is often confidential and may include receptionist duties, document processing, typing, word processing, computer entry, record keeping and filing.

Employer-Paid PERS Retirement: $24.2583 - $33.9615 hourly / $50,457.16 - $70,639.92 annually
Employee/Employer-Paid PERS Retirement:$28.7892 - $40.3049 hourly / $59,881.64 - $83,834.14 annually

Education and Experience:
Equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED AND two (2) years of clerical experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience as determined by Human Resources.

- Techniques for dealing with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, in person and over the telephone.

- Composing correspondence independently or from brief instructions.
- Maintaining accurate case and office records.
- Using initiative and independent judgment within established procedural guidelines.
- Organizing own work, setting priorities and meeting critical deadlines.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
Under General Supervision - Incumbents at this level are given assignments and objectives that are governed by specifically outlined work methods and a sequence of steps, which are explained in general terms. The responsibility for achieving the work objectives, however, rests with a superior. Immediate supervision is not consistent, but checks are integrated into work processes and/or reviews are frequent enough to ensure compliance with instructions.
