Position Overview
We are hiring a summer legal intern to work directly with our Executive Vice President & General Counsel, Associate General Counsel and Legal Operations Manager on a variety of corporate legal matters. This internship will provide exposure to a variety of corporate law projects, while working in a cohesive, positive team environment.
This position is an onsite role that requires the employee to regularly work at our Salt Lake City site.
Responsibilities & Experiences:
- Work with legal staff on matters related to intellectual property, vendor and employment contracts, partnerships and data agreements, media regulation and employment law
- Draft and edit legal documents, contracts and briefs as needed
- Conduct legal research on relevant topics to support business needs
- Interface with corporate departments and leadership on legal needs for the business
- Learn and help develop best practices for legal support
- Receive mentoring from the General Counsel
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Enrolled full-time in good standing in an ABA-accredited law school; rising 2L or 3L preferred.
- Interest in or experience with media and technology industries
- Strong research and analytical capability, including ability to learn and use different resources or find new resources to meet project needs.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including ability to communicate legal concepts clearly to a corporate audience.
- Ability to meet deadlines producing high quality, accurate, and complete deliverables.
- Ability to form positive working relationships, build rapport and interface with professionals in various departments and functions.
- Demonstrate complete integrity, and work in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
- Project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
- Participants in the legal internship understand that no guarantees are given for future employment.

Physical Demands
- Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
- Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to operate computer keys and general office equipment. Ability to work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
- Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
Compensation Range
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour. Hourly rate to be determined by weekly schedule, as well as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal equity considerations and alignment with market data.
