Job Summary:
Wurth Electronics Midcom Inc, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer Legal Intern to join our legal team for a twelve-week internship. This is a unique opportunity for a law student to gain hands-on experience in a corporate setting, working closely with the legal department on a variety of compliance and regulatory matters. The intern will assist with non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), filing projects, risk assessments, and supporting the organization’s ability to proactively stay informed of local and international regulatory changes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the review, drafting, and organization of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and Purchase Agreements.
- Support risk assessments of existing customer agreements and compliance initiatives.
- Conduct legal research and analyze regulations affecting corporate operations.
- Assist in the research of tools for tracking and proactively notifying the team of local and international regulatory changes.
- Consolidate organizational norms into company statements to improve efficiency for contract responses.
- Help organize and maintain legal files and documentation.
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned by the legal team.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited law school or completing a pre-law degree.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with compliance, regulatory, and risk assessment processes is beneficial.
- Strong interest in corporate law, compliance, and international regulations.
