Job Summary
Triple Ring is currently seeking a summer Legal and Program intern to join our team to assist our legal and HR departments. This position will report to the General Counsel. The summer Legal and Program Intern will assist and support agenda and logistics for annual healthcare conference in Japan, launch inaugural Bay Area Life Sciences General forum and launch inaugural Bay Area corporate venture capital forum. The summer Legal and Program Intern will also support the implementation of the legal department contract lifecycle management system, work closely with key internal and external stakeholders, support the process for the tracking and filing of a wide variety of legal contracts and agreements (NDAs, PSAs, SOWs etc.), support the process for government contracting and proposals, support M&A due diligence and support annual internal compliance audits and reviews. The summer Legal and Program Intern will also support Human Resources on projects as assigned, delivering a high-quality, customer-focused HR service. Responsibilities will include providing effective and timely support to HR colleagues and employees across the broader organization and taking ownership of day-to-day administrative tasks while remaining flexible and responsive to additional requests.
This an onsite position located in Boston, Massachusetts.
Responsibilities
- Assist with business development with corporate venture capital and private equity, including with annual healthcare conference in Japan
- Launch inaugural Bay Area Life Sciences General forum and inaugural Bay Area corporate venture capital forum
- Communicate with potential conference attendees to set up meetings for Triple Ring
- Review contracts and perform HR comparative analysis for due diligence in mergers and acquisitions transactions
- Review NDAs and service agreements
- Review government contracts and proposals
- Support contracting workflow for the legal department (e.g., manage the intake of contract requests; track contract negotiation and signature; file completed contracts; etc.)
- As requested, support the General Counsel, Corporate Paralegal, and VP of HR with legal and other research
- Assist with strategic initiatives, including providing due diligence support, managing data rooms, and preparing and organizing documents
- Research topics to present at monthly management meetings relevant to the relationship between legal and HR matters and TRT scopes of work
- Attend, participate, and draft minutes for internal and external meetings
- Support multiple internal compliance audits and reviews
- Support HR related programs and initiatives, including but not limited to the corporate internship program, DE&I, and other social events.
- Assist in special projects, as requested
Education, Experience, and Skills
- Pursuing BS/BA Degree from nationally ranked undergraduate institution
- Professionalism, integrity, good judgment, and ability to maintain the confidentiality of data.
- A flexible, can-do attitude that makes you willing to take on new, unfamiliar tasks
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong organizational skills; critical attention to detail; effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and summarize a wide variety of legal documents
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
- Advanced knowledge of: Microsoft 365 (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and equivalents (e.g., Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Drive); Adobe Acrobat; Box Sign and other office software tools
The hourly range for jobs which are performed in US, Massachusetts is $18.00 to $20.00. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, experience, competencies and work location.
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which requires working onsite a minimum of 3 days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and 1-day of your choice. In certain circumstances the hybrid work model may change to accommodate business needs.
