Program Overview
The Cosette 2025 Summer Internship Program gives students an opportunity for experiential learning in a corporate environment. This is a meaningful, mutually beneficial program where students will bring innovation and drive that will help Cosette reach our goals. In turn, our highly skilled team will help students apply what they already know and broaden their knowledge base.
This is an 11-week, full-time program for rising junior and senior undergraduate students at an accredited college or university. The summer internship will run from May 27 - August 8, 2025.
Position Summary
The Legal Intern will support Cosette Pharmaceuticals' Legal Department with a range of tasks that provide both administrative and substantive legal experience. This role will focus on enhancing the department's operational efficiency by assisting with data entry, document management, and the ongoing management of a contract management system (“CMS”). In addition, the intern will gain exposure to real-world in-house legal operations by taking on assigned projects tailored to the department's immediate needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Contract/Intellectual property data entry.
Input contract details, intellectual property records, and legal documentation into the designated management systems to ensure accurate, up-to-date records.
Contract Management System establishment/refinement.
Assist with the implementation or improvement of the CMS to enhance the Legal Department’s ability to track, manage, and store contracts efficiently. Collaborate with the team to identify pain points and propose solutions to optimize the system.
One time independent projects to be assigned based on business needs.
Undertake specific projects, which may include research assignments, policy reviews, and assisting with compliance initiatives. These projects are designed to provide hands-on, practical legal experience and insight into in-house counsel work.
Position Requirements
Educational Major Preferred:
Current Law Student with an interest in corporate, IP, or healthcare law.
Experience/Skills Preferred:
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with legal terminology and document management systems is a plus
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
