Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to support our Legal Department. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in non-profit legal research, document preparation, compliance analysis, and more within a dynamic and mission-driven organization.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct legal research and analysis on a variety of topics, including compliance, legislation, contracts, and regulatory issues.
· Draft, review, and edit legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and internal policies.
· Assist with the preparation of legal memos, reports, and presentations.
· Track current legislation as it relates to human trafficking and child exploitation.
· Support attorneys in case management, including organizing case files and maintaining documentation.
· Attend meetings and take notes on legal discussions, providing summaries and follow-up actions as needed.
· Monitor and summarize recent legal developments, regulations, and case law relevant to the organization.
· Perform administrative tasks to support the legal team, as required.
Qualifications:
· Currently enrolled in an accredited law school.
· Strong academic record with a focus on legal studies.
· Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
