About the Role:

We are seeking a legal intern (data compliance) who has a passion for data privacy. The ideal intern would have some experience with US state consumer privacy regulations, consumer protection laws, and federal regulations (including GLBA, FCRA, TCPA). The legal intern will work closely with the entire legal team assisting in projects and activities.

Responsibilities Include:

Assist in legal research and writing related to state and federal data privacy and AI regulations
Updating Data Privacy Notices and Consent Requests to plain English and user friendly language
Summarizing Cars Commerce Data related agreements
Summarizing legal cases and defense strategies

About YOU:

Interest in practicing law and data privacy and AI issues
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team oriented environment and a desire to work on challenging projects
Organized and detail oriented with a can-do approach to projects and commitment to on-time project delivery
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Comfortable with public speaking and presenting

Preferred:

Working towards a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a strong interest in practicing law.
Coursework/Seminar on US state privacy laws, consumer protection laws, and federal data regulations.

Program Details & Benefits:

Program Duration: June 9th - August 15th
Pay Rate: $17.50/hour
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Location: Hybrid (Work remote and work from the office 1-2 days out of the week)
