What You'll Do

At The Boston Consulting Group, we believe in encouraging growth and excellence. Are you keen to gain practical experience in a dynamic legal environment? Our Legal Intern role offers an outstanding opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a world-class consulting environment! The BCG Legal Team will host a 6-week summer intern program for a first-year law school student. We will provide an introduction to the practice of law and an overview of the law and business of global management consulting services. Interns will support in-house counsel teammates with research, writing, and other legal work across a variety of fields, including commercial contracting, corporate compliance and governance, employment, and litigation. You will have the chance to work closely with in-house practicing attorneys and apply legal principles to real business situations within the firm.

Although the intern may work on varied projects with several attorneys, the intern will have a single attorney who will serve as their mentor.

The 2025 summer program will start on Monday, June 2nd, and ends on Friday, July 11th, 2025.

What You'll Bring

Candidate must have completed the first year at an ABA-accredited law school and have a Spring 2027 law school graduation date.
Demonstrated commitment to BCG’s values of integrity, respect for people, innovation, adherence to ethical standards, challenging the status quo, and excellence
Demonstrated commitment to promoting BCG’s values of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the community during college, law school or otherwise
Ability to bring a unique perspective to BCG based on candidate’s experiences as an individual, including the challenges overcome, skills built, or lessons learned that have shaped the applicant’s identity
Demonstrates that privacy is a priority when handling personal data
Maintains a welcoming and professional demeanor
Excellent academics (grades) in the first year of law school (placing in the top third of the class) at a nationally recognized law school (preferred)
Prior work experience, including but not limited to a business, legal, or government environment (preferred)
