Professional Identity Formation and Externships and Clinics (2L Year)

Most law schools have established course schedules for first-year law students. As you progress beyond the first year, you have more autonomy and control to select your own courses. While this is in and of itself can help advance professional identity formation because you take ownership of your own growth in accordance with your values and professional goals, consider the particular benefits associated with your school's externships and clinics (or other experiential learning opportunities) as a part of your professional identity formation journey.
